SRINAGAR: An encounter is currently underway between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district.
The crossfire began on Thursday morning in Athoora village in Kreeri area, Kheri of Baramulla.
Few terrorists are holed up in the area, said a police officer.
"As the security forces closed in on the hiding militants they fired at them triggering an encounter," a police officer said.

Last week, two more terrorists were killed by security forces in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.
The terrorists, travelling in a car, were asked to stop at Kraalhaar but they opened fire at the security personnel, a police official said adding, that the duo was killed in retaliatory fire.
