SRINAGAR: The terrorist was killed in an encounter between security forces and terrorists at Hafoo area of Tral in south Kashmir's Pulwama.
The entire area has been cordoned off.
The killed terrorist has been identified as Shakir Hassan Dar, resident of Rathsuna Tral. He was a part of Zakir Musa group of terrorists and had a long history of terror crime records since 2015, reported ANI.
Earlier on Sunday, seven terrorists affiliated to Hizb-ul-Mujahideen, Lashkar-e-Toiba and Jaish-e-Muhammad militants were killed in two encounters with security forces and militants in Shopian and Pulwama district.
