Will Reliance Jio announce another bumper tariff plan at RIL AGM on July 21?

New Delhi: With Reliance Jio's 84-day Dhan Dhana Dhan plan set to expire by the month end, all eyes are set on the company's next move.

Several media reports say that the company might announce some lucrative offer for the Jio customers during its parent company Reliance Industries' Annual General Meeting (AGM) on July 21.

The speculations are based on the past observations that last year too, RIL chairman Mukesh Ambani had announced the commercial launch of Jio at the company’s AGM on September 1.

Jio started operations from September 5 the same year.

It may be recalled that after regulator TRAI nixed its three-month complimentary offer, Reliance Jio on April announced a new plan that offers its Prime members 1GB of 4G data per day for 84 days at Rs 309.

Similarly by paying Rs 509, Jio Prime subscribers could avail 2GB of 4G data per day for the next 84 days. Both the offers come with unlimited domestic calling.

The offer, named as Dhan Dhana Dhan, was "limited to one recharge only and not available along with Jio Summer Surprise offer".
