One Terrorist was killed by security forces on Tuesday night in the Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir after ultras attacked a village close to the International Border (IB), according to police. A massive operation is underway to apprehend the remaining terrorists. The incident in Jammu comes just days after terrorists attacked a bus transporting pilgrims from the Shiv Khori temple to Katra, causing it to veer off the road and fall into a deep gorge, killing nine people and injuring 41 others.

The operation was still going on when the last reports were received. As part of his Udhampur parliamentary constituency, Union Minister Jitendra Singh said he is in constact communication with high ranking police and civil servants in the district as well as a local villager whose home was attacked by terrorists.

According to earlier reports, at around 7:45 p.m., three people appeared suspiciously moving, prompting the dispatch of police and other security personnel to the village. A few gunshots were reported, which were allegedly fired by the alleged terrorists in response to a call for help. A massive search operation is underway to to neutralise the terrorists.
