New Delhi: BJP leader and candidate from Amethi Lok Sabha Seat of Uttar Pradesh Smriti Irani is all set to contest the ongoing general election on May 20 in phase 5. She is contesting the election against Congress candidate KL Sharma.
In the 2014 Lok Sabha Election, Irani contested for the first time from Amethi against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi but she did not secure the victory. While Irani secured a victory in the 2019 general election from the Amethi parliamentary constituency.
