Sishamau Election result 2022: The assembly election result for the Sishamau Vidhan Sabha constituency that falls in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur are currently awaited but as per current trends, Samajwadi Party's Haji Irfan Solanki is leading.
The Sishamau constituency that’s falls in the Kanpur Lok Sabha seat has been largely dominated by the Indian National Congress (INC), however, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Samajwadi Party (SP) have also won several times.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) candidate Satyadev Pachauri won from Kanpur Lok Sabha (MP) seat with a margin of 155934 votes by defeating Sriprakash Jaiswal from the Indian National Congress.

The BJP has fielded its five-time MLA Salil Vishnoi from the Sishamau seat. He has previously won from the Arya Nagar constituency.
The Indian National Congress, on the other hand, nominated Hajee Suhel Ahamad from the Sishamau seat.
From Samajwadi Party (SP) the incumbent MLA Haji Irfan Solanki has contested the polls for the Sishamau constituency while the Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP) has fielded Rajnish Tiwari against the rivals.

BJP’s candidate for the Sishamau Assembly seat is a veteran leader and two-time MLA Salil Vishnoi. He has previously won twice from the Arya Nagar seat, from 2002-2007 and 2012-2017.
Salil Vishnoi has also been the vice president of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Uttar Pradesh unit.
He has earlier served the Generalganj constituency of Kanpur as MLA three times.

From the Congress camp, Hajee Suhel Ahamad is representing the party from the Sishamau assembly constituency.
According to the Election Commission filing, Hajee Suhel Ahamad, 45, owns a footwear business and has studied till class 10.
He has three criminal cases pending against him.
Samajwadi Party candidate from Sishamau assembly constituency
From the Samajwadi Party camp, incumbent MLA Haji Irfan Solanki has contested against the BJP and Congress.
In 2017, Hazi Irfan Solanki of the Samajwadi Party won the seat by defeating Suresh Awasthi from Bharatiya Janata Party with a margin of 5826 votes.
BSP candidate, Sishamau Vidhan Sabha seat
Mayawati’s Bahujan Samajwadi Party has fielded Rajnish Tiwari, 56, for the 2022 assembly elections. According to his nomination filing, he is a graduate and has no criminal cases pending against him.
AAP candidate from Sishamau Vidhan Sabha constituency
AAP has nominated Sunil Babu as its candidate for the 2022 assembly elections and he is a graduate by qualification.
The leader has two criminal cases pending against him.
