New Delhi: A Private Member Bill seeking abolition of the capital punishment was among 45 such legislations introduced in the Lok Sabha on Friday.

The bill to abolish capital punishment was introduced by BJP MP Ramesh Pokhriyal.

Another BJP MP introduced a bill seeking to make Sanskrit compulsory in schools.

Shiv Sena MP Arvind Sawant came up with a legislation to designate "certain" contries as sponsors of terrorism and withdraw trade relations with such nations.

Significantly, in the list were two bills listed against the name of Adityanath Yogi, who is now the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.

These bills, which had been notified by Adityanath before becoming the Chief Minister, related to establishing a permanent bench of Allahabad High Court in Gorakhpur and amendment to the Constitution.

However, since Adityanath, who is still a member of the Lok Sabha representing Gorakhpur, was not present, these were not taken up.

BJP's Sukhbir Singh Jaunpuria's bill was on compulsory voting by electorate in the country.

Ninong Ering (INC) introduced a bill seeking a seperate IAS cadre for Arunachal Pradesh.

Through another bill, Ering, an MP from Arunachal Pradesh, wanted compulsory imparting of education on North-east culture in educational institutes.

AP Jithender Reddy moved a bill to amend the All India Services Act 1951.

Kunwar Pushpendra Singh Chandel introduced a bill for the regulation of transfer of military personnel appointed on compassionate ground.
