What Britain's Royal family wears to Queen's funeral?

King Charles will wear a full-day ceremonial uniform with medals and will carry the red velvet and gold Field Marshal Baton presented to him by the Queen in 2012, when he earned the title. Three of the queen's children, King Charles, Prince Edward, and Princess Anne, will all wear military uniforms and medals as working members of the royal family. According to Buckingham Palace, her grandson, Prince William, will also be dressed in military uniform.

Women are expected to wear black gowns and formal hats, while men are expected to wear black coats. Working members of the royal family wear military uniforms, while non-working men wear back coats, as seen at the funeral of the Queen's husband, Prince Phillip, last year.

Decisions regarding Royal dress codes have sparked some debate in the run-up to this funeral. The Palace initially stated that Prince Harry would not be permitted to wear his military uniform because he chose to resign from his position.
