New Delhi: The Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Government will hold a virtual global conclave of representatives from the health and technology domains from various countries to share details of its COVID-19 vaccination platform Co-WIN on Monday (July 5, 2021). The Centre has decided to make Co-WIN app available to any country desirous to use the platform for managing their vaccination programme in their country. 

On the other hand, as the country’s daily positivity rate declining to 2.34 percent, many states and union territories have issued fresh COVID-19 guidelines, relaxations and restrictions which will come into effect from today. 

In other developments, LJP’s Chirag Paswan, who has been cornered within the party he headed until recently on account of a political coup staged by his uncle, Pashupati Kumar Paras, will be launching an ashirwad yatra from Hajipur, the Lok Sabha constituency his father nurtured for many decades, on the occasion of Ram Vilas Paswan’s birth anniversary.

The day also coincides with the inauguration of silver jubilee celebrations of RJD. Earlier, RJP leader, Tejashwi yadav had said that it will be the first occasion when Laluji will be addressing the workers after a long gap due to his poor health condition. Tejashwi also said his father will give message to them and also discuss the political scenario prevailing in the state and the country as well.

Additionally, BJP chief JP Nadda arrived in Himachal Pradesh's Bilaspur yesterday on a three-day tour. BJP chief is expected to visit the Atal Tunnel Rohtang (ATR) today.

Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Monday refused to interfere with Delhi University's decision to conduct an online open book exam for intermediate semesters of its law course which could not be conducted last year due to COVID-19, and said that it would not allow students to dictate terms of examination of a professional course.

The bench of Justice DN Patel and Justice Jyoti Singh agreed to prepone the next date of hearing moved by the petitioner Justice for All. Now the court will hear the matter on 9th July. India: The recent hike in fuel price took the rate of petrol and diesel to Rs 99.86 and Rs 89.36 per litre in Delhi on Monday.

After the price hike, a litre of petrol in Mumbai is being sold at Rs 105.92 per litre today while the cost of diesel is Rs 96.91 a litre. 

In Kolkata, petrol and diesel are being sold at Rs 99.94 and Rs 92.27 per litre respectively.

Uttar Pradesh unlock: Gym owners and fitness trainers breathed a sigh of relief after the Uttar Pradesh government announced some relaxation in lockdown curbs that allowed gyms to reopen at 50 percent capacity.

"We have suffered a loss due to COVID-19 restriction. I hope now gyms will remain open so that we can recover our loss. We are following all the COVID-19 protocols here. Today only 25 percent of customers came to the gym. We don't allow people to the gym for more than 1 hour and sanitize all the equipment twice a day. We are providing hand sanitizers, masks and have a strict social distancing policy," said Laraib Malik, trainer of the gym.
