Law provides that if farmer and processor enter into an agreement and the type of crops is such that some infrastructure has to be set up on the farmer's land, then the processor will dismantle his infrastructure from there after the agreement concludes: Agri Minister

We sent a proposal to farmers. Thet wanted that laws be repealed. We are of the stand that govt is ready for open-minded discussions on provisions they have an objection against. Laws don't affect APMCs or MSP. We tried to explain this to farmers: Agriculture Minister

Farmers, camping at multiple Delhi borders, have come along with ration and other food items which can last for months. For the convenience of these protesting farmers, M2 formula is being used, that is, an automated roti-maker machine is used to make rotis to feed them. Read more here

Delhi Police officers, who have been on duty at the Chilla border, were seen getting themselves tested for coronavius. Both rapid antigen and RT-PCR tests are being conducted. Though the farmers have refused to get themselves tested.

Delhi Police requests farmers to get themselves tested at the Corona Testing Camp at Chilla border though the farmers have refused for random corona testing.
Due to the farmers agitation taht has been underway for around a fortnight today, a huge crowd of farmers have gathered at the on the Chilla border.
Delhi Police tried to initiate a random corona test camp but after the farmers have refused to. Sanitizers/masks are being distributed.
White flowers are being handed out for peaceful demonstration.

Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar will make an appeal to the farmers on Thursday to end their agitation a day after they rejected the government’s draft proposal and called for another nationwide shutdown on December 14.
According to the sources, Tomar will urge the agitating farmers to work with the government to end the impasse. The Agriculture Minister will hold brief the media about the government’s offer to farmers and assurances about the continuation of MSP – a key demand of farmers. Read more here

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi slams Prime Minsiter Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre on the ongoing farmers agitation in Delhi. Taking to Twitter Gandhi wrote in hindi which roughly translates to: "Modi govt is taking away the fundamental rights of the poor. It is a crime against humanity. For a better future of the country, we have to respect the rights of every class."

The farmer leaders also warned that the agitation will take place at all BJP district headquarters on December 14 and protests will continue across the country. "On December 14, BJP offices will be gheraoed, and demonstrations will be held in many parts of the country. We are also giving a call to farmers from other parts of the country to reach Delhi," said farmer leaders at Singhu border. They also said they will block the Jaipur-Delhi and the Delhi-Agra expressways by December 12, and all the roads entering into the national capital, one-by-one if their demands are unmet.

Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar on Wednesday met Union Home Minister Amit Shah after farmer leaders rejected the Centre's draft proposal to amend the new agriculture laws. Minister of Railways, Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal was also present in the meeting. The meeting likely took place to discuss the next course of action. Read more here
