Jammu and Kashmir: 751 new confirmed infections take the total number of cases to 14,650. There were 240 cases from Jammu division, while 511 were reported from Kashmir division. The death toll rises to 254 after 10 deaths were witnessed today.

Delhi: 954 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours taking the total to 1,23,747. Delhi reported less than 1,000 cases in 24 hours for the first time since May 27.
There are still 15,166 active cases, while the death count stands at 3,663.

West Bengal: HS Alapan Bandyapadhyay announces in an effort towards breaking the chain, a complete lockdown for two days a week in addition to the broad-based lockdown in containment zones. In the current week, Thursday and Saturday will be observed as a complete lockdown.

AIIMS Delhi Director press conference on COVID-19 vaccine: 2 dose and 3 formulations are being tried. The dose will be 3 micrograms followed by 6 micrograms.
The side effects monitoring will be done for 2 hrs in the hospital and then up to 28 days in the first phase. Follow up will be regular up till 3 months. Volunteers will be tested for kidney function and other basic tests before registration. COVID test will also be done first. They should be healthy.

AIIMS Delhi Director press conference on COVID-19 vaccine: 1800 + volunteers registered on AIIMS websites. 1,125 volunteers will be studied in total. In the first phase, 375 will be tested for safety and dose range adjustment.
The second phase will have 12 years to 65 years age group. More than 700 volunteers will be enrolled in the second phase. The third phase will be the largest group of volunteers. It will see how much immunity people have received finally.

As many as 473 people tested positive for Covid-19 in Maharashtra's Pune district on Monday, pushing the tally to above 50,000. The district now has total 51,885 Covid-19 cases, while the death toll due to the disease has reached 1,343, the official said. (ANI report)

Karnataka: The lockdown imposed in Kalaburagi district has been extended till the midnight of July 27 in view of continuous surge in the COVID-19 cases. According to an order issued by Kalaburagi Deputy Commissioner, B Sharat, on July 19, the decision to extend the lockdown was taken as the "number of COVID-19 cases has not come down." (ANI input)
