Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury on Union Home Minister Amit Shah's claims that he was open to hold discussions over CAA with anyone including the protesters of Shaheen Bagh. "Amit Shah should go to Shaheen Bagh and talk to protesters. At least he could have had a video conference with the protesters. Why did he give an invitation if he can't keep it? He just misguided people," he said.

The protesters declared that they will not try to go forward forcefully. The protesters said that they will wait till the appointed time to meet the home minister.

The protesters from Shaheen Bagh who were on their way to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah have been stopped by the Delhi Police. Shaheen Bagh's grandmother, one of the face of the protest, speaks to the police. The police officer informs her that their "application" to meet the Home Minister has been forwarded.
