Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati attacked Congress yet again on Tuesday asserting that she will not beg for seats to be in an alliance. She said that she only asked for a respectable number of seats for the BSP and added that till the time there is no respectable division of seats, her party will continue to fight the polls alone.

Congress chief Rahul who is on a two-day-visit to poll-bound Rajasthan held a 150 km road-show in eastern Rajasthan today. He will visit Bikaner on Wednesday.

Rahul also spoke of empowering people of Dholpur. "I want that when someone takes a selfie in China, he would see the words 'Made in Dholpur' written at the back of the phone and wonder where it is. Then we bring him to Rajasthan as a tourist, put his money in your pocket and send him back by flight," he said.

Rahul also said that the former UPA government led by his party had waived farmers' loans worth Rs. 70,000 crore. He alleged that bad debt worth Rs. 3.5 lakh crore was written off by the present government and the PM did not help farmers with even a one rupee waiver.

Addressing the public in Dholpur in Rajasthan, Rahul Gandhi attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that demonetisation and the Goods and Services Tax had destroyed India's economy. Rahul also said that the PM had declared during elections that he wanted to be a 'chowkidar' but never clarified who he wanted to guard. The Congress president alleged that he benefited 15-20 industrialists of the country instead of farmers.
