Ladwa Assembly Election 2024: Ladwa is in the spotlight as the 2024 Assembly elections unfold in Haryana’s Kurukshetra district! The competition is fierce between Nayab Singh Saini, the current Chief Minister, and Congress MLA Mewa Singh, with a notable 70% voter turnout reported.

Nayab Singh Saini, who recently took over as Chief Minister after serving in the Lok Sabha has transformed the once lesser-known Ladwa seat into a crucial battleground. With 16 candidates in the race, excitement is high!

This constituency is a BJP stronghold, primarily dominated by Jats, along with a significant population of Dalits and OBCs, including Sainis. Although the BJP faced challenges in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, they managed to retain the Kurukshetra seat, capturing 47.14% of the votes.

As counting progresses, the big question is: Can Saini maintain his grip on power, or will Mewa Singh deliver a surprising upset?

1:42 PM: In the 11th round of counting for Haryana's Ladwa, BJP's Nayab Singh Saini holds a solid lead of more than 13,000 votes.

1:16 PM: BJP's Nayab Singh Saini has widened his lead, now ahead of Congress's Mewa Singh by 12,743 votes after the 11th round of counting.

12:52 PM: BJP's Nayab Singh Saini has taken the lead, ahead of Congress's Mewa Singh by 9,671 votes after the eighth round of counting.

12:12 PM: Nayab Singh Saini has not only kept his lead but also widened it significantly over his nearest competitor, Mewa Singh Singroha, by 9,632 votes, further strengthening his position in the Ladwa constituency.

11:14 AM: Saini is currently in the lead in the Ladwa constituency, with a margin of 3,070 votes over Congress candidate Mewa Singh Singroha, according to the Election Commission.

10:41 AM: There are 1,031 candidates contesting in the elections, consisting of 101 women and 464 independent candidates.

10:11 AM: In just one hour, the situation in Haryana has changed dramatically. After trailing in several seats, the BJP has now taken the lead in 38 seats, while the Congress is ahead in 36 seats.

9:56 AM: BJP’s Nayab Singh is currently leading with 4,204 votes, while Mewa Singh is trailing behind with 3,472 votes.

9:38 AM: In the 2019 Haryana Assembly elections, Mewa Singh of the Indian National Congress (INC) won the Ladwa seat with 57,665 votes. His closest competitor, Dr. Pawan Saini from the BJP, secured 45,028 votes.
