Puducherry: Fire broke out at a boat manufacturing factory near Coconut Harbour on Friday (August 21) morning. Eight fire tenders were immediately rushed to the spot.
However, the cause of the fire is still not known. Mudaliarpet Police is carrying out an investigation to ascertain the cause of the fire.
Meanwhile, a fire, followed by an explosion, was reported at underground hydroelectric power station situated at Srisailam’s dam left bank canal in Nagarkurnool district of Telangana. The incident is reported to have taken place late on Thursday. Initial reports indicate that a short circuit led to the fire and thick smoke engulfing the spot.
