Bhopal: In a major development in connection with Bhopal-Ujjain passenger train explosion, Madhya Pradesh’s IG (Law and Order) Makrand Devaskar confirmed on Tuesday that the train blast was a terror attack.
"It was a low-intensity IED blast and IED is always a terrorist attack," Makrand Devaskar confirmed.
"The three detained have confirmed their involvement," Makrand Devaskar added.
Earlier, in the day, at least eight persons were injured after an explosion occurred in 59320 Bhopal-Ujjain passenger train in Madhya Pradesh's Shajapur area on Tuesday.
According to police, a coach caught fire after the explosion near the Jabri railway station.
Bhopal Division PRO, IA Siddiqui said injured passengers have been admitted to Kalapipal Government hospital.
