London, Aug 29: Actor Owen Wilson`s suicide attempt came after a three-day drug binge in which took on crystal meth and deadly pills dubbed hillbilly heroin.
Hillbilly heroin is another name for Oxycodone - a powerful prescription-only painkiller used for terminally ill. Highly addictive, it is swallowed, snorted or injected.

Crystal meth is a highly addictive form of amphetamine, or speed, which gives rapid high similar to crack, lasts two to 12 hours. It is usually smoked.

Wilson is currently recovering in hospital after slashing his wrists over the weekend.

An already depressed Wilson is said to have been pushed over the edge by magazine photos of former ladylove Kate Hudson kissing her new beau, comic Dax Sheppard.

The actor was found by his elder brother Andrew who immediately called the cops after which he was rushed to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

The Santa Monica police has confirmed that the officers responded to a `suicide attempt` call.

Hudson, in the meanwhile, is said to be distraught over the news that Wilson tried to commit suicide.

"She looked upset and was on the phone, pacing back and forth," the Mirror quoted a source, as saying.

"Then her handlers came out and covered her with an umbrella, she was ushered into a white vehicle and then took off."

Wilson and Hudson hooked up on the sets of their movie `You, Me and Dupree`. However, a few months into the relationship they decided to call it quits late last year.

Wilson, in a statement, has asked the media not to intrude on his privacy, saying that he needed time to heal in private.

"I respectfully ask that the media allow me to receive care and heal in private during this difficult time," he said.
