Mumbai, April 29: With Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan (Kolkata Knight Riders) and Preity Zinta (King’s XI Punjab) joining the coveted IPL franchise bandwagon, how could the rest of celebrities stay away from endorsing IPL 2 - the newfound money spinner!
According to a close source, the reason why leggy Shilpa Shetty and her beau Raj Kundra associated themselves with the Rajasthan Royals was, “Shilpa Shetty was actually initially offered a role in the movie that the Indian Premiere League season 1 winning team Rajasthan Royals had planned to make on their famous victory. But apparently, Shilpa did not take the offered money and chose to invest the money in the team. She then got in boyfriend Raj Kundra to invest additional money to buy a 12 percent stake in the franchisee.”
Hmm… it seems the dusky actress Shilpa is quite farsighted and has a sound business acumen that made her invest in the Rajasthan Royals, the defending champions of IPL season 1. Nevertheless, time will tell whether the lady long legs is enjoying her IPL stint or not!
