MBA student fake encounter
The fake encounter of an MBA student Ranbir Singh made headlines in Uttaracnhal this year. The twenty-two -year-old MBA student, who was also working for a private bank, was shot dead by Dehradun Police on July 3 in the Ladpur jungles.
This was followed by huge outcry by the media that prompted the government to take action against the cops involved in it. The SIT of Central bureau of Investigation has arrested Sub Inspector G D Bhatt and two other policemen in this regard and the case is still under investigation.
Nishank’s claim to CM post
After the conclusion of Lok Sabha polls 2009, the state saw the emergence Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank to the top post in the state. The young politician came at the helm of political scene after the debacle of BJP that was followed by the ouster of former CM BC Khanduri.
Though, there has been hardly any signs of improvement in party’s condition in the state, Nishank is trying hard for the overall development and cementing his position.
