UP govt increases retirement age of Madarsa board teachers

Lucknow, Jan 06: The Uttar Pradesh government today increased the retirement age of teachers of the Arbi-Persian Madarsa board to 62 years from the present 60.

today increased the retirement age of teachers of the
Arbi-Persian Madarsa board to 62 years from the present 60.

The Cabinet also decided the amend the rules for the
direct selection of principals for the six medical colleges
of the state, Chief Secretary of the State, V K Mittal told
newspersons here.

"The age limit for selection of principals, which are
selected through the public service commission has been
increased from 50 to 55 years," he said.

The state Cabinet also granted deemed university
status to the renowned Bhatkande music college in Lucknow.
Till now it was considered a department of the state
government.
