London, Sept 04: Director Quentin Tarantino is reportedly angry with the producers of Casino Royale for making the film without his inputs.

The Pulp Fiction maker who has not seen the Daniel Craig starrer as yet claims that it was originally his idea to remake the James Bond movie.

"I never saw Casino Royale because I was so mad at those guys. They said publicly that Casino Royale was un-filmable," the director said.

"The minute I said I would do Casino Royale, it's on all the websites and it is the film that people want to see. They should have said thank you, " he added.

The movie, which generated 298 million pounds in cinemas worldwide shortly after it was released, has been hailed as the most successful Bond film ever.

Tarantino’s most recent film Death Proof received critical acclaim, and a standing ovation at the Cannes Film Festival in May.

The movie, which stars Kurt Russell as a stuntman who stalks women, is due to be released in the UK on 21 September.
