Washington, Sept 03: Aussie actor Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams' have reportedly pulled the plug on their short marriage.
The couple met on the sets of their movie 'Brokeback Mountain' back in 2004, and were soon a couple.
In 2005, Williams gave birth to their daughter Matilda Rose, and they were rumoured to have tied the knot secretly earlier this year.
However, it seems that the two could not stand the test of their hectic schedules on international locations, and have now called it quits.
Williams has spent the past few months based in London shooting the dramatic feature Incendiary with Ewan McGregor, while Ledger has been working out of Chicago filming the latest Batman instalment, The Dark Knight.
A source told US Weekly that the split had come about a few weeks ago.
"The relationship had been rocky recently. They tried very hard to make it work but finally decided to separate. They just grew apart," USmagazine.com quoted the source, as saying.
"They have a beautiful daughter and are committed to being great parents," the source added.
Reps for the couple however have not confirmed the news.
