Skin Sin enters Indian market

New Delhi, Feb 23: Skin Sin, the international range of ladies fashion footwear, today announced its foray into the Indian market and said it would aim at Rs 12 crore turnover in 2005-06 from sales through its eight exclusive showrooms to be set up across the country.

“We are targeting at Rs 12 crore this fiscal and Rs 25 crore in 2006-07," executive director of Skin Sin Vinod Kaul told reporters here.

To begin with, the company would set up eight exclusive showrooms -- 2 each in Delhi and Mumbai and one each in Pune, Chennai, Kolkata and Bangalore during this year, Kaul said adding, "Our focus now will be on brand building and once I is done the range would be available in up market malls".

Designer of Skin Sin footwear Arvind Bajaj said that the range would cater to the needs of the fashion world while keeping in mind the needs of the masses.

The brand, targeted at age group of 20-45 years, would be officially launched next month and nine renowned designers including Wendll Roedricks, Sunnet Verma, Malini Ramani and Manish Malhotra would showcase their collection using Skin Sin footwear at the launch.

"The economic growth in the country has spured a demand or high fashion and lifestyle products and shoes, Skin Sin brings varied styles in shapes, materials and textures that will meet his need," Kaul said.
