Satara, Sept 17: An earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale, rocked western Maharashtra on Wednesday morning.
There were no immediate reports of any casualty or damages.

According to the met department, the tremor was felt at 3:17 a.m. in Maharashtra's Satara region.

The epicentre of the quake was located at a latitude of 17.9 degrees North and a longitude of 73.9 degrees East.
