Mumbai, Feb 20: After creating ripples with its mind boggling musical score and scintillating fresh promos, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s much-awaited flick ‘Delhi 6’ has released all over this Friday. The film that is solely rooting on its cinematic genius and top notch star cast stands out as one of the few films that have been released sans any muddy controversy, at least until now.
But that’s not its sole USP. The film apparently boasts of a unique story line too. Starring the dishy Abhishek Bachchan and the vivacious Sonam Kapoor, the film, as its title suggests, is based on Delhi and the love that the city embraces.
Coming from the proven ‘Rang De Basanti’ filmmaker, the flick already seems to be a potential hit. Nevertheless, here’s taking a sneak peek as to what the movie is all about.
The film revolves around an American boy Roshan, of an Indian origin who comes to India to drop his ailing grandmother. Being brought up in the West, Roshan is unaware of Delhi’s culture; its diverse religions and the mouthwatering roadside food. Miffed with his grandmother for leaving her family in America, Roshan soon realizes the warmth and affection of the city that brought her back to Delhi.
Touched by the warmth of the neighbourhood, Roshan starts to fall in love with the city and a neighbourhood beauty Bittu (played by Sonam Kapoor). But as he is falling in love with Delhi and Bittu, she is looking forward to break free from the city’s tradition and social culture.
So go out and watch this one for Delhi and the multitude of things that it represents.
