Manmohan Singh not PM candidate for entire UPA: Modi

BJP leader and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said Manmohan Singh had not been accepted as Prime Ministerial candidate by the entire UPA.

Thiruvananthapuram, May 09: BJP leader and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said Manmohan Singh had not been accepted as Prime Ministerial candidate by the entire UPA.
In sharp contrast, BJP leader L K Advani was the unanimous
choice of the entire National Democratic Alliance, Modi told
reporters here.

"Senior leaders of the Congress like Arjun Singhji has not
even mentioned the name of Manmohan Singh as Prime Minister.
Only Soniaji has said that he is their PM candidate", Modi ,
who had a brief stop-over at the Airport here on his way to
campaign in Kanayakumari Lok Sabha constituency in Tamil Nadu,
told reporters.

The leading partners in the UPA had not said anything on
Manmohan Singh becoming the Prime Minister, he said.

Asked about the `third front", he said "one does not know
who is the owner of the third front, which all parties are
there and what their agenda."
