Mahabharata town to be developed as tourists' destination

Chandigarh, Feb 11: Kurukshetra, the holy land of Mahabharata in Haryana is being developed not only as a pilgrims’ destination by also as a tourist destination.

Chandigarh, Feb 11: Kurukshetra, the holy land of Mahabharata in Haryana is being developed not only as a pilgrims’ destination by also as a tourist destination.
Shopping malls, multiplex, three and five star hotels would be constructed in Kurukshetra, as a part of the Haryana government's drive to improve facilities for the home and foreign tourists and pilgrims visiting the holy town.

A Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) spokesman said here yesterday that sites for hotels would be located near the Town Park, close to the Sher Shah Suri Marg, the National Highway Number One.
