Mumbai, Feb 02: Madhur Bhandarkar’s forthcoming reality flick ‘Jail’ seems to be giving Sanjay Dutt some sleepless nights, for the flick is said to be based on
Sanjay’s life and it is believed that Sanju is in no mood to open his ex-files and he has intimated director Madhur Bhandarkar about it.
According to reports, ‘Jail’ is based on his and ex-wife Rhea Pillai`s life. Sanjay, who is currently shooting in Cape Town, has been asking his friends back home the truth about ‘Jail’ being based on his life and has apparently sent a message to the director to make sure that he is kept out of it.
In the meanwhile, Bhandarkar has clarified that the film is not based on Sanju`s life and the protagonist is a middle-class man who gets into jail for no fault of his.
Bhandarkar has reportedly said, “If I want to make a film on his life I’d ask Sanjay to play the role himself.”
