Mumbai, April 02: The final day of the Lakme Fashion Week was a clear-cut evidence of the existing romance between Bollywood and Fashion. With Bollywood superstars walking down the ramp, the audience was left spellbound at the perfect binding of the two glitzy worlds.

The finale that saw yesteryear’s beauty- Sridevi, starlet Diya Mirza, Neil Nitin Mukesh along side the youth icon of the small screen MTV VJ Ranvijay, showcased a collection that was as chic as the actors, who wore them.

But what made the audience gasp for breath was the sizzling beauty Sridevi, who sashayed down the ramp in a stunning Prria and Chintan creation that completely complimented her figure.

Though Sridevi was undoubtedly the showstopper, another Bollywood dearie, who made an appearance after quite some time was Diya Mirza wearing an Arshiya Fakih Eappen creation.

However, it was Narender Kumar, who stole Bollywoods’ current heartthrob, Neil Nitin Mukesh to present his sportswear collection. It was then only natural that the actor was welcomed by a bunch of screaming girl fans. "Narendra`s creations are always fabulous," exulted Neil. "They are very suave and crisp. I love his sudden elements of uniqueness that pop up in the garments. For instance, in this collection, the way he has used leather strips is quite extraordinary" he added.

But guess what? There was a huge let down at Narender’s show.. No, it’s not the collection we are referring to but the absence of the designer’s muse ‘John Abraham’. John, who has been a front row face at Kumar’s show, was no where in sight this time round. However, some of the faces that we did see were Mukul Dev, MTV VJ Ranvijay and designer Suneet Varma.

Talking about the designers, who didn’t have the stars to act as their muses and just let their designs speak for themselves were
Aneedh Arora and Chinar Farooqui’s label Gaba. Their collection was all about easy dressing. The designer duo used fabrics like Maheshwari silk where black and white were the predominantly used colours.

Another designer that ruled the roost on Day 5 was- Aashta Bahl. Her collection comprised jackets, flowing dresses exuberating panache. There was a lot of accessorisation too which added to the already eye catching collection of hers.
The accessories included- shiny bags, bangles and scarves etc.
