Hua Hin, March 28: Anirban Lahiri put
himself in contention for the title with a five-under 67 that
left him tied fourth and three strokes off the pace after the
penultimate round of the Black Mountain Masters here on Saturday.
Lahiri`s brilliant card -- studded with four birdies and
an eagle against a lone bogey -- took his total to 10-under
206, which is just three strokes behind top-placed Swede Johan
Edfors (71).

Englishman Chris Rodgers (67) and Australian Jason King
(69) shared the second spot.

In a flawless front-nine, Lahiri picked up a birdie on
the second before striking an eagle on the par-five sixth hole
to make the turn three-under.

The back-nine went equally well with three birdies and
had it not been for the lone dropped stroke on the 12th,
Lahiri could have been just behind the leader.

Among the other Indians, Gaganjeet Bhullar (70) was the
next-best placed Indian at the tied 33rd spot with a total of
four-under 212. Rahil Gangjee (71) followed him a stroke
behind at the tied 42nd position.

Himmat Rai (70) was tied for the 48th spot with a total
of two-under 214.
