Mumbai, Feb 06: Failing to live up to her past glory; Kajol’s comeback acts at the BO fell short to justify the hype surrounding her return. But her obvious dud performances at the silver screen have not stopped her from quoting a bomb for her upcoming flick. The dusky charmer has beaten her own record as she is reportedly charging an astounding Rs2.5 crore for ‘My Name is Khan’.
With this, the sassy beauty has joined the ranks of B-town queens like Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra who too have been giving filmmakers a shock of their life. Quoting such a jaw-dropping amount, the actress has not only turned a blind eye to the current recession gripping the industry, but has also left behind the big daddies of Bollywood.

Speaking to a news daily, a source said, "Even though Kajol and Karan are friends, they have a very professional approach towards work. Karan was willing to pay Kajol her full market price. Kajol does very few films and feels she is entitled to a certain price. And KJo understood that and agreed to pay her as she demanded.”

Giving no friendship discount, the actress who had previously quoted a whooping Rs1.5 crore for ‘Fanaa’, upped her price by a crore for Karan.

The film that will bring back the golden couple of Bollywood, Shah Rukh and Kajol, together onscreen, is set to release later this year.

Well, here’s hoping Kajol proves worth all that moolah!
