Nagpur, Nov 10: India’s captain courageous Mahendra Singh Dhoni was elated after having won the series Against Australia. Dhoni said that he felt a bit worried initially but knew India were going to win after a while.
“We didn`t start off well, it was worrying but we knew once we got a few wickets,” said Dhoni.
Dhoni also described the series as more important than the years old Ind-Pak rivalry.
“This is more important than the India Pakistan rivalry. We had our plans and executed it well.”
Dhoni was all praise for the opening combination of Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir:
“The starts were very important. Gautam and Sehwag run well and helped put a big score on the board.”
The Indian captain also said that it had been a privilege to share the dressing room with the Fab 4.
"They are marvelous cricketers. They have done everything. When we grew up we saw them playing cricket; we didn’t think we would be in the same dressing room. The youngsters will have a tough task filling their shoes. They just need to concentrate on doing their best."
