New Delhi, Oct 29: It seemed to be a hot day for Gautam Gambhir on the opening day of the third Test at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium. It is not only his bat that is infuriating the Aussies, but also the opener himself who just cannot stop getting involved into heated conversations with the Aussies.
After a spat with Shane Watson before tea, Gambhir exchanged some furious comments with Simon Katich in the post-tea session after the bowler supposedly dashed on him while trying to run him out. Umpire Billy Bowden had to intervene twice to avoid the men getting ugly on the field.

Earlier, minutes before tea, Gambhir and Watson shared a heated moment.

Gambhir, who appeared to have been provoked by Watson while he was taking his first run off the Australian`s delivery in the 51st over, nudged the bowler when he crossed him while completing the second run.

Gambhir`s gesture left Watson shaking his head in wonder and skipper Ricky Ponting took note of it.

The young Delhi batman`s gesture was a reaction to an earlier exchange that happened in the 18th over when Watson had deliberately walked down the wicket to Gambhir.

The enraged Delhi batsman later hit a towering six off Watson to complete his third Test century in the final session of the day.

It remains to be seen whether the match officials find Gambhir`s gesture towards Watson and Katich offensive as per the ICC code of conduct.
