Country fed up with "weak leaders”: Modi

BJP`s star campaigner Narendra Modi on Friday said people are fed up with "weak leaders" and claimed that a "strong wave" in favour of his party is sweeping the country.

Hoshiarpur, May 08: BJP`s star campaigner Narendra Modi on Friday said people are fed up with "weak leaders" and claimed that a "strong wave" in favour of his party is sweeping the country.
"People are fed up with the corrupt rule of weak leaders
who instead of providing safety to the countrymen are running
after the USA for getting solved the country`s dispute with
Pakistan", he told a poll rally at Hajipur, 74 Kms from here.

He said in the course of campaigning for over a month now
he had found that people are disillusioned with the UPA and
there is a strong wave in favour of the BJP.

Slamming the UPA for its "indifference" to the plight of
Sikhs at the hands of the Taliban, he said "This is all due to
the weakness of Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh who is in
office due to the mercy of the UPA chairperson Soniam Gandhi."

Asking people to dethrone the the UPA, Modi said they
should vote for the BJP to "save the country from disaster".

He also assured the ex-servicemen that if voted to power
the NDA would definitely accept their old demand of one rank
one pension.

Charging the Congress-led alliance with failure on all
fronts, Modi said it had done nothing to rein in soaring
prices.

Holding the UPA responsible for the frustration
prevailing among farmers, he said they were committing
suicides as they were not getting the right price for their
produce.
