Shimla, Dec 14: Himachal Pradesh Governor V S Kokje has
released a book on Himachal's culture authored by Amar Dev Angiras
here.
Titled, ''Devta Ki Utpatti Avem Lok Vishwas'', the book provides
insight into the culture of the state.
Kokje lauded the efforts of the author and said the state was
known as 'Dev Bhumi' and had a distinct culture.
More research was necessary on the topic as very little had been
tabulated, he said yesterday.
The book would provide insight into the culture of Himachal
Pradesh and said that more books should be written on it, he said.
Angiras is a Hindi lecturer in government senior secondary
school, Dhundan and has written several books.
Secretary to the Governor, Rashima Gupta, and noted writers,
including S.R. Harnot, Mast Ram Sharma, Badri Singh Bhatia, Nem
Chand and Hem Chand Chandel, besides others were present on the
occasion.
