Mumbai, Apr 29: Birla Corporation Ltd., has posted a net profit of 333.40 million rupees for the quarter ended March 31, 2004 as compared to 24.70 million rupees for the quarter ended March 31, 2003.
Total Income (net of excise) has increased from 2856.10 million rupees in MQ-03 to 3305.80 million rupees in the quarter ended March 31, 2004, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The company has posted a net profit of 415.60 million rupees for the year ended March 31, 2004 as compared to 41.90 million rupees for the year ended March 31, 2003. Total Income (net of excise) has increased from 9677.10 million rupees in FY-03 to 10686.20 million rupees in the year ended March 31, 2004.
The consolidated results are as Follows: The Group has posted a net profit of 411 million rupees for the year ended March 31, as compared to 39.20 million rupees for the year ended March 31, 2003.
Total Income (net of excise) has increased from 9698 million rupees in FY-03 to 10702.40 million rupees in the year ended March 31, 2004. The Board of Directors has recommended a dividend of Re 1 per share for the year ended March 31, 2004.
