New Delhi, Apr 29: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited
achieved Rs 575 crore turnover in 2003-04 from
commercialisation of product and services developed through
in-house R&D efforts.
This impressive share, which is nearly 7 per cent of the
total turnover, was the outcome of the R&D focus accorded in
the last five years, a BHEL release said.
It spent Rs 85 crore on R&D endeavour during last fiscal.
The company accords a high R&D focus on programmes meant
for developing control and instrumentation system, clean coal
technologies, non-conventional energy systems, silt resistant
hydro-turbines and improved transportation system.
