Beyonce storms the British pop charts

London, July 07: Beyonce Knowles, a founding member of American R&B group Destiny's Child, scored a number one solo hit on the British charts on Sunday with her single "Crazy In Love." The Texas-born singer ended the four-week reign of U.S. rock group Evanescence, whose "Bring Me to Life" slid to number two, according to the Official UK Charts Company.

Beyonce, who featured in the 2002 big-screen hit "Austin Powers in Goldmember," notched a rare musical double as her album "Dangerously In Love" debuted in the top album slot.

On the singles chart, The Fast Food Rockers fell from two to three with their novelty hit "Fast Food Song."

New at number four was S Club 8, an offshoot of the defunct but hugely successful S Club, with "Fool No More." Jamaican-born Wayne Wonder rounded out the top five with "No Letting Go."

Lisa Marie Presley -- daughter of Elvis -- broke into the top twenty with her single "Lights Out," which entered the charts at number 16.
