Mumbai, Feb 16: Flying high on the mind boggling success of his flick ‘Dev D’, director Anurag Kashyap is gearing up to tie loose ends and resume films left half way. The filmmaker who silenced all critics with his latest offering, is now finishing his old projects and has decided to complete his long due action film ‘Doga’.
Starring the dishy actor Kunal Kapoor in the lead role, the film is based on a comic book. Unwilling to compromise on the quality of special effects that the movie requires, the director has decided to go in for a course to get the best knowledge possible.
Speaking to a news daily, Anurag said, " ‘Doga’ (based on the comics that are so popular in North India) to be produced by Sony International requires a whole lot of preparation. It needs international - level special effects for which I need to go for internship to the US with my cinematographer Rajeev Ravi for some months. This would probably be the most expensive Indian film ever. And I don`t want to slip up. And Kunal needs to do a helluva lot of preparation. I`ll go to ‘Doga’ after ‘Bombay Velvet’".
To be on floors by the end of this year, here’s looking forward to some worthy cinema by the proven filmmaker.
