New Delhi: Like women, even men should take proper care of themselves to lead a healthy lifestyle. Nowadays, the deadly disease cancer has become very common and one can easily become a victim of it. But there are certain thing which men can do to prevent cancer.

A simple modifications in food habits, including adopting a diet rich in cereals, fish and green leafy vegetables, can drastically reduce chances of prostate cancer, considered to be one of the most common cancers among men.

Here are some things which men can do to prevent cancer:            

Avoid red meat

Men with higher consumption of fatty products have been found to be more prone to getting  prostate cancer. So, they should eat low-fat diet that avoid red meat, oils and dairy products such as milk and cheese.

Drink green tea

Men should drink green tea or take green tea extract as a supplement regularly as they help to reduced the risk of developing  prostate cancer.

Avoid sugar and starch

Sugary candy and soda as well as starchy foods should be avoided as they contain rich amount of high-glycaemic carbs, which spark inflammation.  Studies found that men who ate the most sweet, starchy food are more likely to develop advanced prostate cancer.

Eat lots of fruits and vegetables

Men should consume lots of fruits and vegetables in their daily as they full of vitamins and minerals which can help reduce the risk of cancer.

Modify your diet

One should adopt a certain dietary modifications as it can certainly help cut the risk of getting afflicted with the deadly disease. Even eating a healthy diet helps in reducing the risk of cancer
