New Delhi: A woman from Karnataka was left with no choice but to deliver her baby on the road after a government hospital refused to treat her.
The woman, Surekha Dilip, who hails from a village in the neighbouring state delivered the baby in Aurad taluk as per reports.
Her family had taken her to Aurad Government hospital in Bidar district after she went into labour. However, the doctor who attended the woman refused to treat her.
Left with no choice, the brave woman walked some distance for a while and then collapsed on the road, where she delivered the baby.
She was later admitted to the same hospital where she was denied treatment.
Authorities have ordered an inquiry into the incident.
