Jind: In a shocking incident, an 8-year-old boy was mauled to death by stray dogs on Sunday, police said.
The incident occurred at Titakhori village where the boy, identified as Ashish, was son of a migrant labourer.
Yesterday, returning after buying milk from a nearby farm in the early hours, There a pack of stray dogs attacked him.
Since it was afternoon there was nobody around and even as the boy tried to resist the pack overpowered him, he said.
After some time, His father rushed to the spot on hearing his screams, but by the time he was seriously injured. He succumbed to his injuries after a short while.
Notably, stray dogs have earlier also made passersby and children their prey. But this is the first time that canines have mauled any person to death here.
