Mehsana: Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Monday took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his radio programme ‘Mann ki Baat’.
Taking a dig at the Prime Minister, the Congress vice president said on Monday, “When Congress will come to power, we will not tell you our 'mann ki baat', we will listen to your 'mann ki baat' and run the government accordingly.”
The Amethi MP is on a three-day tour of the poll-bound Gujarat.
The Congress vice president has been visiting number of famous temples in Gujarat, prompting the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) saying Rahul Gandhi is visiting Hindu temples just ahead of elections to get votes.
Earlier in the day, he alleged that PM Modi made money "disappear" from Gujarat through "magic" in the last two decades of the BJP rule, as he stepped up his attack on the Prime Minister in the poll-bound state.
Gandhi's jibe at Modi came after a man met him during an interaction with members of the notified and denotified tribes in Harij village in the district and lamented that he was once a snake charmer and now makes a living by performing magic.
Gandhi then asked him to perform some tricks and the man obliged. During his brief performance, the man produced some money through tricks.
"....Narendra Modi did magic in Gujarat for 22 years like you did. The difference is that you produced money but Modiji made it disappear," Gandhi told the gathering after the performance got over.
He assured the members that their problems and difficulties will be considered by the party.
Addressing a gathering at Becharaji village, Handhi said just as demonetisation and the Goods and Services Tax (GST) were launched by the NDA government at midnight, Gabbar Singh, the notorious villain of popular film "Sholay", too attacked people at midnight.
"The drastic step of demonetisation was launched at midnight, the GST was also launched at the stroke of 12 midnight. Gabbar Singh too attacked villages at midnight," he said.
