Hardik Patel's alleged sex tape goes viral, Patel quota leader says BJP playing dirty politics

AHMEDABAD: Patidar quota agitation leader Hardik Patel on Monday hit back at the ruling BJP in Gujarat and accused it of playing dirty politics after his alleged sex tape became viral on the social media.

The Patel community leader took to Twitter to attack BJP over the issue.

Patel, who is expected to forge an alliance with the Congress ahead of the assembly polls in Gujarat, further said that the alleged sex video is morphed.

He also accused the BJP of falsely trying to defame him.

Accusing BJP of playing dirty politics, Patel said that the ruling party had done the same in the past too.

The BJP had done that earlier too in order to make electoral gains.

In 2015 too, an alleged sex tape featuring Hardik Patel had hit the internet.

However, the authenticity of the tape could not be verified.

Just recently, the Congress party gave three options to the Hardik Patel-led Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) with respect to latter's quota demand for its community.

However, the PAAS members said that they would consult their leaders and legal experts before taking a decision.

The options were conveyed to the PAAS members by senior Congress leader Kapil Sibal at the meeting which took place recently.

Meanwhile, Union Minister Uma Bharti had on Tuesday termed Hardik Patel and former Jawaharlal Nehru University Students Union president Kanhaiya Kumar as "fighters" who failed to garner mass support due to their criticism of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
