Recovery of Great Barrier Reef possible now- Here's how it can be saved

New Delhi: Australia's Great Barrier Reef was declared officially dead some time back in an obituary written by environmental writer Rowan Jacobsen, for Outside Magazine.

A large portion of the world's largest reef was severely affected by the rising temperatures and increasingly acidic ocean water.

According to Mashable report, Australia's top chefs are raising funds to conserve nature's spectacular treasure by offering people to drink 'Great Barrier Beer'.

The beer is produced by the Good Beer Company, a social enterprise launched in late 2015 and comes in three forms, Kolsch beer, a cider and a blonde beer.

Three Australian chefs Spencer Patrick, Ryan Squires, and Ben O'Donoghue have created these three environmentally conscious drinks to directly impact the wellbeing of the Great Barrier Reef.

As per reports, this beer company donates about 50 percent of its profits to the Australian Marine Conservation Society (AMCS) that funds conservation projects along the Great Barrier Reef.

"The Reef needs all of our help right now and this revolutionary beer is raising much needed funds to support our education programs with tour operators and farmers that will conserve our national icon" said Campaign director for the AMCS Imogen Zethoven in a statement reportedly.
