Anita Dongre joins Bollywood stars as celebrity health coach

Washington: Fashion designer Anita Dongre will join Bollywood stars and doctors with the nonprofit Physicians Committee (PCRM) to dish out advice as a celebrity coach for Kickstart India.

Kickstart India, a 21-day programme, monitored by physicians and dietitians, went live on Friday, said a release.

Since launched in 2011, more than 300,000 global participants, including 19,000 people in India, have participated in the programme.

Dongre would join the program on Monday, November 4 and will share her tips to stay fit.

"The biggest problem with changes in diet is people don`t know where to start," Zeeshan Ali, specialist for Kickstart India, said in a media release.

"We take the guesswork out of which foods to eat and provide a foolproof plan to help boost metabolism, lower cholesterol, and completely revamp your health," he said.

The programme has many celebrity supporters from Bollywood, Hollywood and arts field.

The celebrities connected with the programme include names like Jacqueline Fernandez, Celina Jaitly, Veena Malik, Mallika Sherawat, Amrita Rao, Jackie Shroff, Alicia Silverstone, Sonu Sood, Shashi Tharoor, `Mission Impossible III` star Maggie Q and `Clueless` actress Alicia Silverstone.
