Eddie Redmayne engaged to girlfriend

London: Actor Eddie Redmayne is engaged to Hannah Bagshawe, his girlfriend of more than two years.

The "Les Miserables" star popped the question to Bagshawe while they were on holiday May-end, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

"He had been planning it for a while. They have a very relaxed and supportive relationship... they seemed to have always known they were going to spend the rest of their lives together," said a spokesperson of the British actor.

The 32-year-old star, who was briefly linked to actress Carey Mulligan in 2011, asked his future father-in-law for permission to propose before getting down on his knee.

"He asked her father`s permission - the whole deal. (He) has been basically a part of the family for years now," said a source.
