Neil Young, Willie Nelson to headline Nebraska farm concert

Los Angeles: Singers Neil Young and Willie Nelson are headlining a concert to raise money for groups opposing the controversial Keystone XL oil pipeline.

The Harvest the Hope gig is being held on a farm in Neligh, Nebraska, with tickets being on sale through advocacy group Bold Nebraska`s website, reportedly.

Those opposing the Keystone XL pipeline cite environmental concerns and impositions to local farmers as inspiring their efforts to block its construction.

Current plans call for the pipeline to run from Western Canada down through the Gulf of Texas. Tickets for the concert will benefit Bold Nebraska, the Cowboy and Indian Alliance and the Indigenous Environmental Network.

Young has publicly lobbied against Keystone XL pipeline over the last year, including taking his case to policy-makers in Washington DC.

The musician and Nelson have famously teamed before for the Farm Aid charity concerts.
