Singing qawwali in 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' was challenging: Adnan Sami

Mumbai: Pakistani singer Adnan Sami, who has crooned superstar Salman Khan's favourite song from his upcoming film "Bajrangi Bhaijaan", says the qawwali track was a challenge for him.

Salman and director Kabir Khan found Adnan apt for "Bhardo Jholi" and the 41-year-old singer-composer cannot be more grateful to them.

"It was a challenge to sing this song. But it was a great experience. I have heard lot of qawwalis but I hate imitating. It was a different experience but I enjoyed it," Adnan told reporters here at a film's promotional event of the film.

"I have friendship.. Relationship with them. I have done this out of love. I am grateful to Salman and Kabir," the singer said.

The film has already created waves with its trailer and hit numbers "Selfie Le Le Re" and "Tu Chahiye".

"The trailer has got phenomenal response. I hope people will like the qawwali song as well," Adnan said.

Also starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" is set for an Eid release on July 15.
