'One Direction' not looking for Zayn Malik's replacement

Los Angeles: 'One Direction' will continue to perform as four-member band after the surprise departure of Zayn Malik from the group.

The British boyband is not planning to find a replacement for Malik, reported TMZ.

Sources close to Simon Cowell and the record label said that there will be only Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson on their next album.

Zayn quit One Direction in order to become "a normal 22-year-old who is able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight," so he said in a statement posted on Facebook last week.

He also denied any bad blood with his former bandmates, saying, "I know I have four friends for life in Louis, Liam, Harry and Niall. I know they will continue to be the best band in the world."
